B-3は1930年代に米国陸軍航空隊(The United States Army Air Forces / USAAF)に正式採用された、寒冷地気候用フライトジャケットです。

シープシェアリング・ジャケットの傑作・タイプB-3は、冬期用フライトジャケットとして1934年に正式採用されました。

豪華なシープスキンを用いたこのジャケットは首廻りを保護する大きな襟や、風の侵入を防ぐ締まったカフス、ウエストのアジャスターベルトなど、数あるシープスキン・フライトジャケットの中でもスタイル性、防寒性ともに完成度の高いモデルです。

この製品は、映画「The War Lover ザ・ウォーラヴァー(戦う翼)」の劇中で、Steve McQueen as Captain Buzz Rickson(スティーブマックイーン / キャプテン・バズリクソン)が着用したB-3の復刻モデルです。

ビンテージミリタリーウェアの要素を随所に盛り込みつつも、テーラーメイドの繊細なシルエット、ディテール、縫製を取り入れ、街着として着易い洗練されたファッショナブルなデザインに仕上げられています。

素材はシープスキン(羊革)のリアルレザー本革仕様です。

毛を活かして鞣されたムートン仕様です。

身頃裏地・袖裏地は、ムートンボアです。

フロントはジッパー開閉式で、ファスナーにはWar Time TALON(タロンジッパー)が使用されています。

ジッパーの後に比翼(ストームフラップ)が付き、ジッパーから漏れた風が侵入してくるのを防いでくれるつくりになっています。

ストームフラップには「ARMY AIR FORCES」のプリントがほどこされています。

ジッパーのスライダーには、レザーの引き手が装着されています。

グローブや手袋などをしていても、簡単に開閉が可能になるよう考慮された引き手です。

襟裏にはレザーのチンストラップベルト装備され、衿を立てチンストラップを使用することで、風の進入を防ぐようにされています。

(ベルトは縫い付けられています為、着脱はできません)。

襟先裏には隠しスナップボタンが付き、身頃に付けられた対のスナップボタンに、衿をボタンダウンのように留めることができます。

衿をボタンで留める際には、右衿のベルトは折り返して収納する仕様になっています。
